Never been there myself although it looks mighty tasty,
I believe SE of Parking Lot D Fort Stevens may be the location but may be wrong....

Are the "Ponds" just the "Jetty Lagoon" (labeled that way on Google Maps)?
I'd also like some specific directions/tips to try it out before I move out of state. (Where to park, launch, best wind direction, good place to find an accurate forecast for the area, etc)
