This model prediction for Wed afternoon at the coast looks like the guaranteed deal. Only time will tell, but I am betting on coastal north winds for tomorrow. This could be the "season opener" for Wed, and Thurs even looks better!! Swell is forecast to be 18 ft on Wed so might not want to venture all the way to the outside breakers unless you are feeling lucky or bold!!

Could be a good day for Nor Bay in Chinook.

Just wondering who else scored on this cycle. Wed was giant and couldn't find anyone else to do a downwinder so ended up just watching epic 25-30 knots of first season northerlies and waves breaking out to the horizon. Oh well, wish a few more people were around here sometimes!!

Thursday went off with just the local boys out having a blast in perfect side-off shore 9m wind and coiling overhead rights firing down the beach forever. That day was the best way to open the season for the Newport boys. Let's bring on the 2010 waveriding for the next 8 months and put winter behind us.

ps Went SUP surfing today in offshore winds and 70 degree air temps. Way cool!
Feels like summer is here!!
