Forrest, thanks for the clarification and your work on this issue. I was trying to imply that nothing was achieved but I was under the impression that it was jet skis or the highway.

9 times out of 10 I don't have any problem with the schools or any of the other kooks. But it is that 10th time when I'm minding mine own business and get assaulted by some student that really gets stuck in my craw.

No matter. I'm planning all lunch time sessions during the week anyway. Thumb's Up Thumb's Up Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

The possibilities are endless when you have a greater number of like-minded individuals. And, it's not about conquering or pillaging, but showing that ideas for growth and safety are needed by a growing population of kiteboarders.

You may see and know that there are more and more kiters out there every day, but sometimes government and state agencies only see it in the representation of organizations such as the CGKA.
Again, just look at the accomplishments of the Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association. Probably 60-70% of the members do not even participate in CGWA events, 50+% don't even live in the Hood River/Portland vicinity, BUT they do recognize that their support of the CGWA protects their access to the Columbia River.

This is where we are now focussing our goals as an organization, in protecting, enhancing and improving all kiteboard access along the greater Columbia River and in increasing our membership to help increase our strength through representation to the governing bodies in charge of this land.
Power through numbers!

Kitepower!
Represent, my brothers!

That's the case for the rest of us. 9 times out of 10. Now we have a documented and advertised right of way. While having said that, it's important for everyone to share.
