The 7th Annual Montana Snowkite Rodeo will be based at the tiny town of Jackson, MT throughout the last week of March (29 - 4th April).
The Jackson Hot Springs Lodge will be the center of snowkite mayhem - kite all day - soak and revel all night.
While the northern Rockies have been slowly melting, there are still many, many more sessions to be had. Will you be there? Or, will you wish you were there...?
Here's a photo from nearby Big Hole Pass:

Looks sick Noah, how's the snowpack holding up in the high country?
In other words, if one couldn't make the Rode would the weekend or two following holdup snow-wise.
Been meaning to get up North for awhile now, with terrain like that I've got no excuses.
What town do you base out of to Kite the Beartooths if you want semi-comfortable lodging w/out Yuppie prices?
Thanks mang, see ya on the snow!

Noah/Joel
Looks like some precip coming your way this week for some pre-event freshies. We never made it all the away out to Big Hole last year, but if it's as good as Hagan I'm sure it's the stash. Hopefully you guys will get more late season storms this year again. I want to read more about those bear vs. snowkite stories!

There are really no towns for April & May snowmobile/snowkiting in the Beartooths, execpt maybe Cooke City or the Crandell area. Usually I sleep in my truck.
