What are the orange and blue numbers that G-man and Nak are wearing? Search turned up Pyro Pro and Kokatat as recommendations. Still apply? |

Both of us are wearing Kokatat. Mine's full Gore-Tex with a relief zipper. Highly recommended, but they are spendy as hell. Great warranty though. Lifetime warranty on the Gore-Tex. I bought mine used on ebay, turned out the Gore-Tex leaked. Called Kokatat & they sent me a brand spanking new suit! The suit was about 8 years old. |

I wear kokatat dry suits(kiting- I am learning so I need warmth as I am bobbind around quite often, kayaking, swift water rescue etc ) with the relief zipper as mentioned. the only way to go or you will have fluid in the suit!!!!!!. Expensive yes, durable yes. had mine for 12 years., last long for sure!!!!!!!!!!!! had new neck seal put in by kokatat for 35.00 and one week turnaround just last week. Dont let anyone around here replace your seal as they will rip you off and kokatat will check your suit thoroughly when they replace them. Goretex keeps you warm but also lets you feel as if you are venting. I think if there was more dry suit versions made for kiting more people would wear them. More function and movement when not restricted like old wet suits. I can spend hours in an out of a river and stay warm but If I do that in a wet suit the body temp eventually drops. Just my experience.!! |
