I caught wind of some prototype Turbo Diesels being flow in the western gorge very recently. Not much info on the technical details though…
Can’t wait to see, try & fly!!!

Not sure what its called but saw some pretty crazy kite today Ruben was on. Had a LE that looked like a bat or something.

Well, its a flat arc shape, but the front of the LE is pointed in the middle. The LE is not a straight curve, it has joints in it. This is a crude attempt, but here's what it would look like from overhead:

It had a 5th line bridle instead of a 4 line one. I bet that'd probably nix inversions, but I wonder how the bridle would handle sheeting the kite? You would need to move the rear lines and the 5th line simultaneously if you wanted the full sheeting effect of a bow/flat kite. Must be some kind of bar.
Also I noticed no pullies on the bar.

Gotta love sketching in ascii. What does
the code tag do?
The forum needs a built-in java sketch pad.
-sorry to get off topic
Some one in the kite paparrazi needs to
hang out in the bushes at "Headquarters"
and snap off a few for the anxious herd.

i spoke with one of the SS guys in town for meetings and he said the kite is finished and ready to go to market. The kite we spoke about looked like a hybrid type kite with a 'logoz' logo i havent seen before, not sure what ss is calling the kite. 4 lines (no 5th line, PKH-they must have another in the works that you saw) and a very simple bar with one sheeting cleet between the chicken loop and bar.
i dont think this is a upgraded TD it is a new different kite. seems like a kite to compete with the waroo craze?

The T.D. was a altered copy of the Waroo ,and now they are just going out and out copy it (Which they should) if they want to survive

"Link" or "Lynx" ... I have heard both now.
Hein - I don't have easy access to the 3D rendering like you do, so ASCII is all I can muster. I also don't want the Slingy crew taking me out next time I am at Stevenson.

I wasn't making fun of your sketch.
Sketching in ascii is an art. You did it well.
