So the wind seemed very promising today, however the 9-5er sort of held us up from getting in the water. Their was about 1 hour of good light for kiting. However skatekiting was unreal today no cars hardly in the lot and great steady wind for power turns, cutbacks, and ollie's. It was SICK Twisted Evil

Here are some pics of the lot shredding that was done by Chanson and myself. The stronger wind actually made getting higher on an ollie easier.
It was the most lit i've ever been on a skateboard, it feels so nice not having to push and still get wherever you want to go.

Kiteskating is a blast!
If anybody else is interested in getting down on one of these skate sessions holler at either Chanson or myself. Thumb's Up

I'll drag this post out of retirement..... What kites were you using? 3m foil/trainers? Looking to buy a kite to do the same...curious.

Mike,

yeah, a 3m foil will be a good start...

we've alos been using old C kites with short lines....park n ride.. Cool and it gets you into tighter lots/spaces..

whatever works for ya.! Thumb's Up

Thanks Chanson! What would realistically be the size range? Not anything bigger than a 5m maybe if you use an old C?? Sorry for ignorance, still a newb. Razz

Jake gets pretty juiced on the 8m (the 5m in the picture seems pretty optimal)

- oh and its pretty scary (not Bambam scary but concrete earth railey scarry)

..so what length lines you run with the old c-kites?? Enough freebies out there, might be a good route to go.
