kite trip st lucia anyone!? jan-mars

Someone that's planning a kitetrip to st lucia in beginning of jan? I 'm looking for someone to share a beachhouse with or if anyone knows somebody in st lucia that might be intrested in renting out a room/bed for a month/two (budget!=)? Heard that some of the islands best kitespots are up in the north, anyone knows about accomendation up there or is all centered in the south?

I will be travelling alone, but there are some other kiters in st lucia, isen't there? Rolling Eyes

You live in Costa Rica and you have to travel for wind? Isn't Bahia Salinas the perfect kite spot? Love to hear about Costa Rican kiting , definetly on my list of destination.

I kited for one day out of ten in Nassau coupla years ago, don't the trades kinda shut off in winter?

I've been in bahia salinas for a month now, and have pretty much kited every day since I got here even do the high season offically is dec-mars. It's blowing in average 15-25 knots all day, but keep in mind it's really gusty, it can easy add 20 knots in between the gust! You get used to it, but it's still one of the hardest places I've ever kited, but as the locals says it's part of the charm;) You def become a better kitesurfer being here! Another thing is that it's never get crowdet here, you can often have the hole bay to yourself and it will rarley be more than 10 kiters on the water at the same time during the day.

StLucia is not busy
Vieux Fort is in the south and the Reef kite center is there too. There is a resteraunt bar there . They have a few rooms there 60/ nt incl breakfast. Kite storage. Good people and good food. Warm water and consistant winds. Kiting at your door step , literally. There are some bays in the north when the wind is directly from the east.
They speak English too. And Creole.
I have visited twice in the last year / loved it.
Went in March and in Jan good both times of year.
