Any glove I've tried has made my hands get tired pretty damn fast, even wakeboarding gloves with Kevlar palms . I've settled on just riding with bare hands. Yeah they go numb pretty quick, but you can still move your fingers and wrist just fine. Kiteboarding with numb hands for 3 hours is better than kiteboarding with warm hands and stopping after 20min because your hands are too tired. Untying knots is the only thing you need warm hands for anyway.
There has yet to be a glove designed that is good for kiteboarding (i.e. allows you to grip a bar for hours on end), because as far as I know, there are none. |

| went kiting in the ponds sunday for at least four hours with my ocean rodeo gloves. i was fine! no gloves when its under 30 degrees would prob be a bad idea. once your forearms get conditioned to using gloves its fine. if you havent been kiting in two months and jump into the water with a thick pair of gloves, then yes your arms will get tired. |

have any of you guys tried pogies on your kitebar?
they were invented for kayak paddles, but would think they would work well for kiting.
i hate paddling with gloves for the reasons spike mentioned, but i can live with pogies. |

hey guys
Do you have a mountain equipment coop store
I live near edmonton ab ca.
This is where i bought my booties and gloves and socks . All Kayaker stuff. Even bought a beanie for under my helmet and it;s fkn awesome how warm the noggin stays , dry too !
Gloves suck just like in snowboarding I prefer mitts .
They also sell kayaker socks , these I find easier to use as they don't have thick heels ( like booties ) that interfere with your straps . ( cheap too like $9can ) mine lasted one season cause I walk around on them too , oops .
I have not bought mitts for the water yet but do beat my hands on my side and head for being out in the ice cold just before freeze up and early spring also for circulation. I know what you mean about numb fingers and scary when you take them out and they are that yellowish white color with no feeling .
I found that the thickness is not too bad for use on a kite bar . I found that using the thick gloves wakeboarding (cold water only ) that my forearm muscles start to ache real quick , take the gloves off and all is OK soon , just keep your hands out of the water as much as pos.
Blah ,blah blah anyway google them , better than all the way to UK
jack
OK here it is check the mens watersports .

Thanks guys for all of your input on gloves! I really appreciate it. I'll be looking to try on a lot of these.
So far, it just seems like neoprene is a bad choice for a glove material for when it gets really cold. Too stiff or not warm enough. I know Jim likes his 5mm gloves, but he's a LOT stronger than me. The Atan booties I have are some kind of plush titanium fabric covered in latex. Very flexible, lots of feel, very warm. Not sure why Atan doesn't make a glove like this? I know mittens would be warmer, but don't want to give up the dexterity gloves offer. |

I missplaced those gloves so I got some 3mm gloves. My hope is they are still warm enough but wont fatigue my forearms as fast. I also tend to ride the stopper much more when its cold. Unfortunately this year it has been too windy for me to be able to head out and try them. Currently my smallest kite is a 9m and I don't see myself having any cash to get a new one any time soon. |

| Bummer on the gloves. I hope the Infiniti bamboo don't suck. Just bought a pair of 5mm for $24 off militia. |
