Any one know what it cost to have a wetsuit zipper repaired and where I might take it. My first thought is it would be easier and cheaper to replace it as it is my 3/2 summer suit. _________________ MS |

Drop it off at ProMotion in Hood River. They do amazing wetsuit work....not sure what it will cost, best to just give em a ring.
Gotta love having a local wetsuit company |

I can deliver it to them if you want...
Be aware I may pee in it on the way to HR though. Not allot of restroom options on that trip. |

| ProMotion is definitely awesome, I bought a suit there in 2004 and they still fix the old torn seams for free (lifetime guarantee). They do very good work for sure! |

Thanks for all the replies. After shopping around and realizing mine is 10 years old, I can justify buying a new one. Promotion sounds like the ticket. Local and good work. _________________ MS |

Not to diss on the home grown wetsuits or anything..but can anyone tell me why almost everyone sporing a promotion suit has big loose flaps of neoprene in the armpit/ upper arm area.
Stringers pro motion fit like a damn drysuit in some areas. Is it supposed to be more comfortable? |

| So what does one do with an old, retired, wetsuit? What do the shops do with them. Can any or all of it be recycled in anyway? |

I go thru about 2 suits a year. Not because they are torn apart but because they no longer keep you as warm. The neoprene breaks down after awhile. If you own a wetsuit more than 5 years old your missing out. New wetsuit technology has improved 10 fold in the last few years. If your suit is cracked, stiff and discolored its done. After nearly drowning in big surf because my suit zipper broke and filled with water, I learned my lesson. When your suit starts to show wear sell it and get a new one. _________________ The will to do springs from the knowledge you can |
