July 9-11, 2010. Book it.
Based on feedback from the KB4C participants and the community, we have moved Kiteboarding 4 Cancer up to earlier in the summer. Why? People liked the stoke from the event so much, they wanted it early in the season to keep that stoke going all summer. Gotta love that.
So, the 2010 Kiteboarding 4 Cancer dates are reserved at the Hood River Event Site for July 9-11. The event will go two days next year, extending the event to Sunday, wind or no-wind. Here's a rough schedule:
July 9: Kick off BBQ for Athletes, Volunteers, Survivors, Family & Friends
July 10: Kite Derby Endurance Race and/or SUP Endurance Race, conditions-dependent.
July 11: Kite Derby Endurance Race or SUP Endurance Race, Expression Sessions, conditions-dependent. SUP Endurance Race if no wind.
If you are coming from out of town, book your campsites, hotel rooms, rental houses, and friends' floors now because this is one of the busiest and biggest weekends of the summer in Hood River.

Bridge of the Gods is going to be June 19th.
Friday the 18th will be setup and photography day and Sunday the 20th will be a no wind alternative date. |
