$5 is totally worth it. I helped the developer zach price, a seattle kiteboarder, get this going.
He's done a great job putting alot of effort into a program, designed to help you progress.
Buying this program helps zach, an IKO certified instructor, recover his investment in this project and possibly begin work on the next version, advanced.
I urge everyone in our NW community to help buy purchasing the app for your I phone and giving it a 5 star rating.
I confident you'll be happy with the program. If not, send me a private message and I'll make sure that any concerns or criticism you have makes it to the developer and that the next revision will improve.
Thanks for supporting the NW kiting community.
Cheers,

Just bought it... Looks pretty sweet for the $5. You'd pay that just to park at the event site....
Maybe I'm just too stupid to figure it out, but are the videos supposed to have sound. Narrative behind the videos would be a good improvement for a future version if not. _________________ JHB |

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your support of the Kitesurf Instructor series of applications. Once we get enough user support behind this I'm hoping that we will (Jim Stringfellow and myself) have the funds available to film a lot more maneuvers and maybe even a Snowkite series of apps. To answer the previous question, right now the vids don't have narratives, but that is a great idea for a future update!
A quick note about the price... I'd like to thank you for your support in buying at $4.99 we think this is a good value for all of the effort put in to it. I'm only realizing a net revenue of a little more than $2.00 per app sold due to Apple and taxes, so in reality it doesn't really even cover gas money to get to the Gorge . So thank you for helping us to continue this endeavor by purchasing the app at the current price.
Now the big news...
We've just released the KITESURF INSTRUCTOR: INTERMEDIATE level app which can be found on the iTunes app store here:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kitesurf-instructor-intermediate/id336946674?mt=8
{Note: this app will only work with iPhone/iPod Touch versions 3.1.2 and newer}
KI Intermediate offers instruction for the following tricks:
- Backrolls
- Backrolls w/ Grab
- Backroll Inverts
- Hooked-in Nuke Grabs
- Backrolls w/ Nuke Grab
- Frontrolls
- Frontrolls w/ Grab
- Frontroll Inverts
- Downloop Transitions
- Double Backrolls
- Double Frontrolls
- One Foot Board-Offs
- Board-Offs
- Riding Blind
- Toeside Backrolls
- Toeside Frontrolls and more!
Thanks again for giving good reviews to the apps and supporting our endeavor. _________________ Old school tricks are rad |

Great idea!
Any chance of Windows Mobile version? You could sell a WinMo version on your own website or on any of the sites that distribute WinMo software, like Handango. |

Mel,
There's an iPhone app that, through the use of the microphone, can estimate the wind flowing past it when you hold it out there. I've heard not-so-great reviews. _________________ CGKA Member

Actually the i-wind meter is pretty damn accurate in its sweet spot which is in the low teens to mid-20's. It was measuring within one knot of the stevenson sensor the first day I got it. The bigger question..who the hell uses a wind gauge anyways? |

If you don't do itunes then you aren't doing any of the i-phone apps unless you jailbreak it or something. |

| Youŕe right, I should have said I don´t do iPhone/iTunes but I use the internet/computer a lot. I resist being captive to Steve Jobs and, for the most part, there has been a way to accomplish almost anything that Apple provides at significant cost with a less expensive or free app from the web. |
