Bar for a HQ Beamer 4m kite

Noob looking for a bar for a 4m HQ Beamer power kite. What kind of bar will work with this kite and does anyone by chance have a used bar that would work that they could sell me? Thanks

I have an HQ 5.0 Beamer II. About a year ago I bought an older Naish depower bar off CL and tried to get it to work but couldnt. I've been flying traction kites for 3 years and kiteboarding for 2 so I thought I could make it work. Last year at NABX I talked to the HQ rep and he told me I'd probably never get the Naish bar working and to buy a crossover bar shown on thier website. I eventually gave up and now use the handles when I buggy or landboard. I'd call the reps at HQ and tell them what you're trying to do and they can direct you. Sometimes they will even provide the specs for the bar if you want to try to put one together. Here's a link to the site showing the different bars. Good luck.

You can´t use a depower bar because the bridle set up of the kite is entirely different from that of a depowerable kite. However I believe you can use a bar with it. Take a look at the HQ Scout´s bar/line setup on their website. It is what I have and even though I cannot control the kite´s power from the bar it has most of the feel of a typical traction kite, foil or depower. If you can´t tfind one for saleI don´t see why you couldn´t rig your own based on the Scout´s setup. The ¨crossover¨ of the lines serves to deform the kite in an efficient manner as the kite is steered.
