2009 Crossing update with video. Good times and good wind to be had over the weekend. Slingshot came on strong with a full line up of demo gear and support. So many great faces represent Midwest kiteboarding and it was killer to be a part of it...!

Big shout out to Fleet 8 and all the hard work put into running a event like this for so many years. Tighe for upstanding SS rider support! Laura for all her hard work for delivering all the gear and providing stoke! And the rest of the Slingshot MN crew that came out in numbers to support, ride, and represent!

Thats pretty cool. I used to live in North Dakota and ran this race several years in a row in the 90s on a windsurfer. Didn't know they added kiteboarding to it. For people that aren't aware, its about a 20mile race across the lake. The actual distance varies depending on wind direction. Racing in late September in MN gets interesting. I did it in the snow one year Smile

I see on the web this was the last race ever . They will have a winter one in march which also is the last .
I think the lake is staying though Wink
