SI is forecast to be way too east today, but the actuals are shapping up like it could nuke from NNE! Keep your eye on the short range forecasts and actuals.

The current goes to shit at 4pm today, but the wind may mitigate.

Doubt away, but there are some fatty gradients building up.

For those of us who can only get to SI after work, it could be good if it's not too east.

I admit a stinging defeat. The gradients looked good and it was picking up and north early in the day, but it backed off and then went east as the day wore on. That said, the gradients still look good even now....

The airport was a more obvious choice, but I can't get there after work. Any reports from the airport?

The wind was light when I got there. Had a good time on the 12 for a while.

The gradient from Olympia to Portland was strong but that's not producing wind at Sauvies. I find the gradient from Kelso to Portland determines if you will have wind. It was only .02 even though OLY to PDX is .07. However, you still need some OLY to PDX gradient to keep the wind more Northerly.

I've found this Arrow forecasting tool for SI to be just as effective as the rest and it has the coolest interactive app.... Cool
