Pretty niec highlight real from ESPN on Micheal Jordan's career. My favorite was the quote from Larry Bird "I think that was just God dressed as Michael Jordan."

I remember being at the soldiers field arena watching the Dead with the MJ and the bulls playing playoffs at the same time across the street.

They had bulls highlights playing on the moniters with dead and bull integrated animations.

Bulls symbol steal your face ect. I thought the God /MJ thing was some trick from the blotter. Wink

Pretty cool vibe on the town those show nights...

Finding the cars were the only downer. Wink

Those were the days MJ and the Dead.

Now I have to get dragged around with sharks to get the same satisfaction from life. Twisted Evil

MJ says, "There's not going to be another Michael Jodan."

He basically just closed the book on his own legacy.

The best ever!!

GRETZKY

Some say he was the Michael Jordan of hockey. BS. Jordan would be lucky to be the Gretzky of basketball. Gretzky took the single-season points record from 152 to 215, an increase of 41%. Jordan would've had to AVERAGE 71 POINTS A GAME to do that.

At age 10, while playing for a youth league in Ontario, Gretzky scored 378 goals in a 68 game season.

Gretzky has 61 NHL records, many of which will never be broken

During the six seasons from 81-82 through 86-87, Gretzky AVERAGED 203 points per year. What was he doing, bowling? No other player has ever scored 200 points.

Even though he scored 894 goals in his career, he will be most remembered for his play creating. In fact, if Gretzky never scored a goal in his career, he would still be the be the NHL's alltime leading scorer on the strength of his 1,963 assists. (861 more than his closest pursuer, Paul Coffey.)

He broke Gordie Howe's alltime assist record in 1,086 fewer games than Howe took to set it....That's 13 seasons.

Gretzky has the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, 10th, 11th, and 12th greatest assist seasons in NHL history.

92 goals in a 80-game NHL season is deemed by most to be unreachable ever again.

The 10 highest single-season point totals:
......................Season Goals Assists Points
Gretzky, Oilers 85-86 52 163 215
Gretzky, Oilers 81-82 92 120 212
Gretzky, Oilers 84-85 73 135 208
Gretzky, Oilers 83-84 87 118 205
Lemieux, Pens 88-89 85 114 199
Gretzky, Oilers 82-83 71 125 196
Gretzky, Oilers 86-87 62 121 183
Gretzky, Kings 88-89 54 114 168
Lemieux, Pens 87-88 70 98 168
Gretzky, Oilers 80-81 55 109 164

True but at least Jordan wans't Canadian Razz

I have to agree with ya though. Its a shame that hockey pros don't quite get the same recognition that other sports get. Thats probably why I like it so much Idea Still a little bit of that blue collar mentality left in Pro Hockey unlike the other major sports

Actually I don't think its fair to say that Gretzky didn't get the recognition. He pretty much single handedly is responsible for the games expansion into the US. I wouldn't want to get into a cross-game star contest though. No question that Gretzky was special. So was/is Tiger, Phelps, Peyton, Ruth, etc... It is really tough to compare folks between sports, I would rather just appreciate the great ones and feel thankful that I got to see some of them play in person.
