There's more wind at nearby Clear lake. Had friends that used to windsurf there back in the 80's. Was thinking about giving it a try again myself since us kiter's need less wind. Smile

Sailed there once - super windy / choppy. 7m day when I was there. Maybe too gusty for kites w/ trees.

Thanks for the feedback....looks like I'm bringing gear & givin it a try. I'm bringing a boat. I will boat launch if that seems better. I'll report back if it sucks. Thanks

Sailed Timothy on a Catamaran in the afternoon summer breeze before. Boat support is key for kiting due to the aforementioned trees. Big kite and board is what you’ll need.

Hope you get some and you’d better document with pictures. Shooting from the boat you can get Mt. Hood in the background. That will be a sweet shot!!

This sucks it feels like winter already. Is Timothy or Clear lake accessible to kite in winter? Once it freezes over.

Easy winter access with snow machine... wish I had one.

Starting to think about snowkiting again on Hood. should be some good times.

So,, Whats the deal with Bend. Is it now off limit's?
