Hey, School is starting and I need your old mountain bike gear! Helmets, pad, tubes, bikes, fishing poles, and tennis gear. Swimming suits and PFD's too!!
If you have donated gear in the past we will do a basic tune on your bike for free! clean it, lube, and all! We will also fix flats, and install green goo in tubes for you and family! Kids do the work while I watch!(In most cases, I do the brakes!) We can handle gear adjustments and cable replacements, but you will have to cover parts cost, labor is free with a donation.
Shoes, shorts, t-shirts etc.. All of your donations are tax deductible and you will receive proof of use from me! All gear and clothing is used by kids and then given too kids.
We will be running a fall bike cleaning event starting Friday
Several of you have donated you gear and If I still owe you a letter now is the time to get it. All donations are tax deductible!!
At this point I have 5 working bikes. 3 of which are really nice and 2 decent. I have an xl frame, thanks john, that needs brakes, derailures and shifters, and it will be an awesome big kid bike.
If you have an old full suspension, or whatever you think is junk drop it off and we will break it down. There is usually something we can use, seat post, casset, etc..
In addition to bike gear, if you have old fishing gear you don't use we will take it. We going to ride our bikes to the hook and catch bass and carp, maybe better.
**I have a colleague in Cascade Locks who is starting a bike program like mine. He's going to need a set of bikes, tools and all! At this point we will be able to loan him our bikes, but eventually he'll need a set of his own gear.
