Let me get this straight ... no Rev for 2010?

If that is the case, anyone have experience on both that they can share? Compare/contrast?

Would a Rev rider be happy on an Octane?

Thanks.

Yeah octane is replacing the rev, so if you like the rev, you will like the octane even more!

Hmm...I didn't like the Rev, so does that mean I'll like the Octane even less?

Well that could be the case because it will be very Rev like. But no worries we have the best C kite on the market and the RPM has been a very big hit for those that want to drive the kite with the edge of the board then bar. Wink

I haven't tried it but have heard first hand that there are 3 rear line attachment settings. The outer one is super light, the middle one is just right for most people (RPM-like) and the inner one is very heavy.

So, you can probably dial it in just how you like it. Help you find the one that's just right...

Unfortunately, unlike goldilocks up there, I still haven't gotten to try it... Sad

I've tested the Octane and it's very Rev-like. Very little bar pressure but not a ton of low end power compared to an RPM. It generates power once it's going well enough. The new 2010 bar is great, nice swivel

I got on the 11m and 9m last night, I flew the Revs a ton last year. In comparison the new octane's are very smooth, but IMO do not loop as tight as the Rev's. I was really surprised by how well the kite loads up and release power at end of each loop. Overall the kite seems rock solid in Gorge gusty winds, I'm sure the smaller sizes will be very popular for the freeriding style kiter.

OK. I dont get it? If it is the Rev, why do they call it the Octane? If its just a redesigned Rev then maybe it should be the 2010 Rev. They renamed it for a reason. Don't know what it is, but just my simple thought process.
