We had Jones to ourselves yesterday only one atv. Today met Hopefall. Wind picked up today. Lots of atv riding, somebody got their bar ran over I heard. Then late afternoon 4-ish folks started to arrive. All in all it was mellow day. |

Hey All
This location can be hairy at times with the quads rippin up the sand . Dust in your eyes and covering your gear filling up your vehicle .
All that aside it's one of the best places to kite and that makes up for the inconveniences of dirt .
I was there during the July 4 celebrations and there were a lot of fireworks left overs on the sand .I used them as markers for my bar while it was laid out and that worked . I also roll up the lines and lay it all on the kite when not in use . I felt something would happen sooner or later as some of the riders were quite young and some of the older ones have a bit of attitude ( people are generally fucked anyway in crowds ) so best to do my part to prevent problems or stuff getting run over .
All I can do is smile when I think of Jones Beach and the Oregon coast also the great bunch I met while kiting there .
Take care and watch out where you lay your stuff , according to the quader it would be your own fault anyway , defense mechanisms take over .
Still shitty that it happened . |

I would suggest marking out your bar and lines with 2 x 4's with a shit load of nails sticking up in them.
We used to tear up this trail when I was a kid. Guy asked us not to ride there..we were 15 so we essentially ignored him. two days later 3 guys, six flat tires |
