Hey,

I'm new to the area, and wondering how to read the event site sensor. Seems like a lot of readings in the 13-17 range the last few days, which is not enough to get out there for me, but does this actually mean 13-17, or something better, like 17-20? I also noticed that Swell City seems to always be 4-5 kts more. Maybe this sensor is more useful?

Thanks for the help.

The sensor at the event site is right on. But you have river current to take into consideration. 13-17 this time of yeah is actually like 16-21 with the river current. Swell City is always a bit stronger wind than at the Event Site. There is no good launch at Swell City but you can do a down winder from viento to hood river (7 miles) to get the good wind at Swell City. 13-17 at the Event Site sensor should be great 12m wind and is usually a lot cleaner wind then 9m and 7m at the event site.
