Just recently waxed the depower line on my 09 Naish SLE bar and I found the next time I went out for a session that the stopper would no longer give way when I would push against it.

I feel like that could be really bad if I wiped out with the stopper fairly far in. has anybody else had an issue like this? is there a fix?

Thanks,
Christian

I used what I had laying around, which was a stick of wax that came with my ocean rodeo drysuit for waxing the zipper.

I think its just basic paraffin though.

Hmmm. I use the little votive candles. The ones in a little silver tray. Take them out of the metal case and snap in half. Rub up and down line. Basically just candle wax. It works great. Stopper works fine and it keeps the line fuzz to a minimum. I have heard to stay away from surf wax ect as it will gum things up.

I don't think that is paraffin wax.

well its good to know that standard paraffin doesn't seem to cause problems. I'll pick some up and use it next time.

this is what I used.

its mcnett aquaseal max wax. I guess its silicone based so it is a little different.
