OT: Steelhead Fishing is going off!!

Yep, I have been fishing for 4 days in a row. The steelheads are back and the conditions are really good.

I'm sure that some of you have already headed out to catch some.

I've been hiking in past the cable on the west side. So far I've caught one native on dark reticulated leach, but I think anything will work.

They are down fairly deep due to water temp being up.

I'm dry skimming a caddis during the day and when that doesn't work I'm dropping in a subsurface fly on the swing.

I talked to the Ranger Rich who was taking stats and he said that yesterday there were 40 guys fishing the lower Deschutes from the band and total catch was 6 fish, 4 native and 2 keepers.
