David, Just to be clear I was not putting you down in my post. I've not responded to any of your posts before because--to be quite honest--I have never had a clue as to what you were saying.

I was primarily wondering why Caution put the video on their website. Either they were making fun of you, which just seems mean spirited, or they thought it was humorous, which I simply don't get. Either way I don't understand the rational behind it's posting. Hence my question. Had it been a You Tube video I never would have posted.

I guess your posts are meant to be humorous, and that's great. People don't have to read them if they don't want to. If that's your way of sharing the stoke, I'm not going to be the one to pass judgment. On the other hand, comedians get heckled a lot; that's life.

I just wanted to clarify my earlier post. I wasn't "ganging" up on David. I didn't find the interview objectionable, I just didn't understand the point of it at all or why it would be posted on a business website. But then again, there's a lot of media out I don't get. Very Happy

Like most of the people on the forum that I see in person on a regular basis, I hope that Dave knows that I don't harbor any grudge against him, most people can handle a good natured ribbing. I think you would be hard pressed to find a post of mine that was truly mean spirited (outside of the boner threads). I flip allot of shit but believe me, I also end up on the receiving end of quite allot of jokes. Its all fine for me as I am never one to take life all that seriously when its not required.

David got a video posted on the Caution website and he has gotten some bro deals on gear, seems like a pretty good situation to me. Its fairly obvious from the video that it wasn't meant as some sort of serious commentary on the sport and its riders. And our going along and giving the secret agent a little ribbing doesn't mean that he wouldn't be welcome in the gorge or anywhere else for that matter. I for one would offer up the secret agent a beer if he conducts a covert op in the gorge. On some level, hats off to him for keeping it real.

What I want to know is how he can morph from a fairly lucid, good-humored guy on video to someone who comes off as a demented 10 year old in his posts to the forum.

The guy on the video seems very likeable. The guy who posts seems wigged.

And I don't think ESL has anything to do with his incomprehensible posts. He seems quite comfortable with spoken English. Maybe he should find an editor to screen and clean his posts for him Laughing

If he ever came up here, I'd be happy to meet him.

The only other issue is that he can't count. He claims that "proxy monkey man" has around 3800 posts on the forum. PDXmb actually has over 4350 posts. Give him proper credit SA! Lol.

Finally made the time to watch the video.

Seems like a nice enough guy and a good interview of one of Kiteboardings Characters. Seems to have a good attitude and made a sweet plug for NWKite and Proxy Monkey. Perhaps even Phil should send him a Free XXXL T-shirt and Monkey a unicorn firgurine or something Laughing

If Dave is in the Hood I'd hook him up with a free burger and beer.

If he's traveling and kiting more power to him.

BTW, There are quite a few posters on this forum that are often times not intelligible for whatever reasons.
