|
|
Well last weekend was kind of a dud so this weekend we are hoping for some strong winds to get us from Stevenson to HR this Sat.
We are going to move the times back a bit this weekend in hopes for more favorable wind.
Registration start at 11am
Skippers meeting starts at 1pm race will follow shortly after.
I will post updates in the morning on nwkite so stay tuned.

Thanks again to Nikki for all her work organizing the blowout. Sounds like there will be wind for this weekend.

| I'm tentatively planning on heading into HOOD. If you see me standing around, and need a hand moving something heavy, or filming NOT PHOTO. just say the word, proudly pimping and Ozone shirt. |

mmmm Wind.
Moderate westerlies are expected to continue through the weekend in into Monday.
Models now are indicating that the upper-level ridge will strengthen a bit on Saturday and inch back westward. Yet, with the cut-off upper low off the northern CA coast and a weak upper-level shortwave holding off the WA coast, we'll continue to see onshore flow. This continues to favor Stevenson through the Corridor for the strongest winds. On Sunday and Monday, the cut-off upper low pushes toward northern CA and this will bring a few degrees of additional cooling west of the Cascades. Look for moderate westerly gradients to linger, but nothing spectacularly strong is expected.
Saturday:
The Coast limited by fog, reaching only low to maybe weak mid teens. Jones Beach seeing mid to upper teens. Stevenson reaching near 20. The Corridor reaching near 20, a slight chance for some low 20's at the Hatch and Swell but looking less likely if the ridge does expand. Doug's reaching upper teens. The East in the mid teens or lighter. _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...

Hey Nicole. I'll plan on coming around about 1:30 then, to pick up downed kiters on the OR side. To those of you riding: If you buy it on the OR side and have to bail, look for a dark green late model Volvo wagon... Cheers! _________________ "Resist much, obey little."
