Fri Jul 24, 09 8:51 pm Visiting Columbia River Gorge |
|
|
Hi,
Am considering a visit to the Columbia River Gorge. While doing so I'd like to improve on my kiteboarding skills. Am a beginner. I've taken a few lessons at Cape Hatteras and in the Great South Bay (NY)...would appreciate advise on:
- A kiteboarding school in the Columbia River Gorge area
- Where to stay (preferably something rustic/cozy) accessible to the River Gorge and Mount Hood (I'm thinking of snowboarding as well...)
- If you know of any good hiking trails...would appreciate a recommendation as well.
- Any resources for more reading about the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and what else to do around there...
I've researched a few sites...but it would be great to hear it from the locals.
Thank you mates! |

| i can only speak for kiteboarding schools adn I would recomend Kite the Gorge school that carlos owns. My son and I have been there and they have been so nice and very laid back. we had Mack work with us and he has a great demeanor teaching kids and adults. I wish you luck with the wind and every other aspect on the water. take care Blake |

Go to see Tonia at Cascade Kiteboarding she rocks...teaches from Jetski's and uses walkie talkies.
your progression will be way faster if you have a jetski following you around. |
