@ manzo yesterday canopy ripped away from one side of top center strut on north rebel 9m...don't want to drive back to the gorge for a repair...any ideals to keep me flying today...i've thought of trying duck tape...i heard say it can fix almost anything but a broken heart. _________________ sprucebaugher.com |

I would reconsider the duct tape as it leaves a thick coat of glue behind .
If anything use sail tape or leave it until it can be fixed .
2 cents worth .
good luck |

| no off the shelf tape on earth is going to be able to hold that. If your desperate you could always take it to a seamstress or a dry cleaner on the coast and have them sew it... |

I did hear good stuff about the kitefix gear but it isn't going to match your canopy and your resale value is going to go out the window. |

dude im telling ya that shit (KiteFix) is the shit.
you could barely tell and it looked stronger.
resale value is gonna suck no matter what, anyways-
Kites been ripped in half...
get some kite fix, clean your kite, take your time
you'll be surprised & impressed.
I didn't believe it until he turned it over.
very nice stuff!

I have a KiteFix kit as well. Definitely a session saver. I've been using it on my 9m to keep it alive. The biggest repair I have done was a 3"tear. From repair to back on the water was a little over an hour. Still holding strong a year later.
Good stuff. |

| Just use sail tape ...don't sew it or you will add major $$ to the airtime repair. |

Thanks for all the help fellow kite brotherhood...i was back out on the salty water yesterday afternoon...with the gracious help of Josh @ Cleanlines Surf Shop in Sea Side...he's been contacted by the Kite Fix Kit Company...but as of this time hasn't carried it yet...i'am thinking maybe after or conversation about the NWkite...form members who endorsed it...he may soon have some in stock...He gifted me with a roll of 2'' cloth clear repair tape made by 3M...& a extra pair of hands & work space to accomplish a very nice on the road repair with out having to go back to the hi- temps back in the gorge...feeling the coastal cool...thanks again you all! _________________ sprucebaugher.com |
