A bit brisk but not too bad at Sauvies last night... the near 90 degree air temp helped. Did have one 10 minute relaunch, still wasn't too bad.

I stopped wearing a 3/2 full suit when the water temp broke 60, I stopped wearing a shorty when the water temp broke 65. I was at HR on Tuesday in rash guard and board shorts and had to intentionally teabag a couple of times just to keep cool on the water. It's easy to become dependent on neoprene if you don't force yourself to shed the extra layers.

Yeah, love the freedom of no wet suit. Got a nice light wind session @ PDX.

One good way to force yourself: keep losing wetsuits

I lost my 4/3 full suit, then lost one of my shorties... still got another shorty but it is kind of ghetto.

I'm almost afraid to ask, what does a ghetto wetsuit look like? Are you sporting gold chains and a grill?

Slightly off topic, I recently watched a documentary about S.E.A.L. BUD/S training. One of their evolutions is a 1-mile open water swim in Coronado Bay in 57 degree water--no wetsuit. Now that will cause serious shrinkage!

last night was nice. I always enjoy those occassional lightwind sessions for the peace and tranquility on the water. that was def the case last night. thanks PDXMB for the intel on getting there. that was a nice drive across the island seeing the rural side of portland.
by the way kraemer, the mount seems to work..

Jim was the lightwind master. The winds died off later in the evening but there was one guy on a huge nash fully powered up... who is that guy? Oh shit, its stringfellow with the whole river to himself. Smile

Good vibes, good times.

Dudes, I gotta use a wetsuit all year long - even at sauvies. My ass freezes really quick and I start shivering like a hairless chihuahua Sad
