Not trying to put up a post to alarm everyone, but we have been getting a somewhat ridiculous amount of reports from customers coming in with lists of items that they have had stolen from the Event Site (or snatch patch).

Just something to think about, with the increasing amount of users at our midsummer peak, there will likely be gear either getting left behind, picked up mistakenly, or unfortunately stolen.

So, please
- keep an eye on your gear
- most importantly PUT YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER and the word 'REWARD' on any equipment that you value.
- lastly, if you leave it where someone else can take it, be aware, that they just might actually take it.
- okay, finally, this it the last note - if you are caught stealing, or trying to sell stolen items, be ready to face the consequences, because stealing is not right, you will not be welcome at our local sites and you will face criminal penalties.

This sort of thing sucks, but I guess it comes with the territory when you begin to get overwhelmed with tourists and non-locals.

Remember, also 'Be aware and ride with care'.

Two cents .
Maybe there should be a camera aimed at the patch and it could be a good deterrent .
To save money use a dummy non working camera but put up a sign and make it look like there's wires attached etc.
It works for the cops when they put a life size photo of a patrolman beside a cruiser parked on the roadside , it slows traffic immediately .
Those who don't know won't chance it and those who do , well , every little bit helps .
