Hi All,
Thanks again for all your help from the petition. We have come a long way. We had our first meeting with the parks department and things look doable. There is not set solution yet, but it looks positive.
The website has come a long was as well. If you want there is a good read on the meeting notes. Any suggestions or ideas anyone has are more than welcome and are very appreciated.

| Has anyone invited members of the parks board out to kite? I was thinking about this in terms of the ongoing struggles with the Hood River Port Authority, but perhaps inviting members of either organization out could grease the wheels. Maybe one of the local kite schools could donate the time/service? Usually, one dose of the narcotic that is kiteboarding is enough to hook most people, and it's more difficult to argue against something that one has a vested interest in. |

Problem is some of these folks are of the much older crowd. I would love to get them on trainers at least and feel some power. Good idea, thanks. _________________ www.nyka.org |

At the event site people of all ages kite or windsurf. get a trainer kite in there hands some instruction about power vs netural and they will be sold.... The basics require finises not power and control. arter that the more power moved come into play. Just my thoughts....ED |
