Rumor has it that $1000 fines have been issued in Lyle. Based on the number of people who have been willing to risk it, Burlington Northern has come up with a more effective way of controlling kite beach access..... (on a serious note, the mosquitoes are wicked right now!! Enter at your own risk) Shocked

The mosquitos were indeed pretty bad when I was out there a couple weeks ago. Still have yet to hear of any tickets having been issued, though...

yeah... it kinda seems like the same thing as the "theiving and car break-in rumors" that were around a year or two ago to keep people away from certain spots....Rolling Eyes

I'd like to see a ticket, or a news story, or something to back it up...

As someone who is dealing with the outrageous skeeter problem in Hatteras right now, I can attest to the efficacy of this approach.

I still find it annoying all the flack that was brought up about cars broken into at the secret spot a while back. I guess it is just people bored at work that feel the need to post crap when people were trying to just help out.

Since I drive a jet ski down to the secret spot if I am going there I have a ton of incentive to "keep people away". I guess the broken window in the truck and teh missing gear was just a figment of my imagination. Probably the tickets and warnings at the secret spot as well. In fact maybe if either of them happen to you you could just close your eyes and wish real hard and make it all disapper.

Or maybe people are actually trying to warn people to be careful and help out. Hmm, who knows Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
