Tom S. is a kiter all Stevenson regulars know. He's always super stoked and wears a great big smile.
Tom was at the beach today and let us know that he's been diagnosed with a rare and dangerous form of cancer. I felt the need to want to do something for him, and all I can think of is to post my best wishes for him here. If someone else has a creative idea for something we can do for Tom please let us know.
Fight hard and live strong Tom.

Tom is one of the happiest most positive guys around. Always enjoy kiting and hanging with him and Lynee.
Stopped and saw him today and he is pretty positive on beating this. Says he gets to get back in the water in about 2 weeks. Looking forward to seeing him down at the beach again.
Hang tough Tom!

| Its all about the attitude Tom. Keep up the positive spirit and you can beat it. I am not sure we have met, but if you need someone to talk to I have been through it myself.

| Tom, there is no way most of us can understand what you're going through. Remember though, we all are praying and hoping for the best for you. Good luck and fight hard.

Tom- One of the amazing things about our kiting community is that we can pull together and do great things- If you need anything please ask. This is the reason that we have KB4C--- Everyone can help Tom by getting out there and raising money to beat this disease. Lets show Tom and everyone else who needs our help that we can make a difference!
Praying for you-

Tom, I'm sure I would know you if I saw you. Sorry to hear about the bad news but like people are saying, its all about attitude. I know two people that have beaten cancer and I'm sure you can to!
Everyone is pulling for you!!!

Tom,
There's this Florida healing outpouring that's been going on everyday for almost 3 months now.
It seems some folks are getting healed from all kinds of stuff, just by watching it on God.tv.com.
Just thought I'd drop ya' a heads up.
Sorry to hear of your condition.

I've been in close touch with Tom and he is looking great and doing all he can to beat this thing into submission. He and his wife are on top of his diet, exercise regimen and treatment options. I know what Tommy wants is that we all just treat him as we normally do, as a fellow kiter and a friend. (not that an extra pat on the back wouldn't be appreciated). Cancer is a bad word and it often conjures up thoughts of pessimism and melancholy. When I feel this way around someone I usually just ask questions about their illness to get past it.......it helps me not to walk on eggshells and move on to a more constructive approach-Tom's attitude has made this easier for me. My wish is that we can all be supportive without being overwhelming....... .....I hope I said that right and it doesn't sound preachy. Best regards, Stephan B
