Any suggestions for intermediate private/semi-private lessons/schools in the Gorge? Big Winds is booked all next week.

Thanks,

To get the most for your money, I would definitly recommend anyone who offers jet ski support! I think the only 2 in the gorge that do are Big Winds and New Wind.

I took a lesson with Big Winds (yes, it is hard to get on their schedule), but it was more than worth the wait! They take you up past Wells island way out of the swarm of people at the sandbar, and you just ride for 2 1/2 hours progressing as much as you can! If you bail, the instructor brings your board right over to you! Also, when your up and riding, the instructor is usually right there behind you offering suggestions along the way!

Good luck in whoever you choose! Very Happy

Oh, I forgot to add that if you do wait to get on Big Winds schedule, Craig is the man!

Yeah, I'm on Big Winds schedule for Friday/Saturday-forgot to mention-but still need some rapid progression so I can be fairly independent quickly.
Thanks muchly

Could you let us know how your lesson goes with Big Winds? I'd be interested to know...

I did Big Winds and Kite the Gorge for my second and third kiting lessons, and found BW very agressive in the learning curve. KTG stressed a lot more basics and spent time covering them and got you comfortable before going to the next step.

I took the full course from new winds. They taught me safety and basics the first day, dragging and jetski support the next. A couple more weeks of practice and I found myself to be quite proficient. I bought my gear from them and when they couldn't get my board in til today they let me borrow any board I wanted. Good stuff.
