LV travel tips- Pops w 2 kids

So my kiddos are 14 and 12, have been in Spanish immersion their whole school career. I don't speak the language. But to the point- I have been wanting to go to Baja for a long time and just never have. If I took shuttle (or do you recommend a car rental) from airport to la Ventana (or are there other places you recommend) ? And we found an air bnb with a pool or are there any cool hotels that kids would be stoked on? My kids don't ride, although I would probably try and get them a WF lesson, maybe they catch the bug. But, are there other things to do besides wind, but without a car. Id like to find the sweet spot where I can ride but we also see and do some amazing things. Every year I say we're going and then we don't so they give me a lot of shit for it now, and it's time I pulled the trigger and went! Thanks for any help!
