It's that time of year..... the Event Site is starting to get busy and we should follow the guidelines/rules for launching and landing on the grass.
It didn't really matter back in February and March when there was only 4 people kiting but now that the season is heating up - it matters a lot.
Launching from the grass is a privilege that can be taken away if we can't police ourselves.
Please, Please, Please.... don't launch or land west of the brick bathroom building. There's plenty of space and the water is deep enough on the eastern half of the Event Site grass.
Please don't launch or land from the far west corner..... that's reserved for windsurfers.

Thank you for the post Laird.
This is a good reminder for us to always self manage our kiter bretheren.
When we have too many people flagrantly breaking the rules, we lose respect from the Port and all the other recreational user groups that witness our users breaking the rules.
It's plain and simple to understand.
>East Side of the Event Site is the only area for kiters to launch and land.
Pump and rig lines at the top of the hill, not in the launch zone.
Launch at the upwind half of our kite zone
Land at the downwind side of our kite zone, then immediately move the kite and lines up the hill to the rigging area to make room for other kiters to have access.
Don't be lazy, don't be disrespectful, and don't be a dick.
We ALWAYS help other kiters, both in assisting their safety needs and instructional reminders about proper beach protocol.
If we show we deserve the access, we keep it.
If we show we do not deserve the access, we lose it.
Simple as that.
Sorry for the lecture. Looking very much to another kick ass season of kiting in the Corridor with you all!!
