I found this water channel deal where they are travelling around the US showcasing water sports. I emailed the guy about kiteboarding in the gorge, and this was his reply:
Thanks for the e-mail. If you can supply us an organized event and a time and date, we will see if it works with this seasons schedule. Please mail or e-mail us any pictures, DVD's, or Mini DV tapes of footage you would consider "Broadcast Worthy" and we might use it as a lead-in to the segment. We are presently looking for unusual or extreme water sports and extremely interesting characters. If you can supply those two elements, we may have a match!
anyone have any suggestions what to write back?

Don't send video without paperwork from them.
We got burnt by Opera's womens channel on a documentary on female windsurfers, "From Cradle to Contest". back in 2002 
Seems like we were invisible once they got the footage, and then proving they owe you anything was another debacle.
If you do send video, watermark the hell out of it. And plan for being ripped off!

this sounds great! I wanted them to showcase the gorge, and to have a chica as our star would be really cool...especially since I'll bet almost all their other segments are young dude punks (no offense to you young dude punks!) 
can someone pm me with some contact info for Renee? Let's make her a star!
