It's already averaging 23 at 7am, probably 30 at noon and might hold on longer than yesterday. Plenty of beach. I'd bet Stevenson gets over 20 today too.

I saw someone was looking for coastal wind but theres east wind keeping it offshore, has anyone tried the ponds at Ft Stevens on wind like this? I had a great 7m day in January there on straight east winds when Rooster was averaging 60.

Arrow Arrow Question Where do you get your live stats from Macgruber - I'm trying to work out if getting there at 5pm tonight will reap the rewards....

Iwindsurf/Ikitesurf. Had it for many years, I keep thinking $100 is too much, but for certain spots like Rooster and Manzanita its a must. Their human forecasts for 3 days out are usually spot on and help me schedule my addiction.

They don't seem to have a good sensor for Ft Stevens though, Clatsop says 8 and Astoria airport says 13. I would think the ponds would be more, Jones beach says 16 NE

Clatsop spit sensor is a joke. Has been for 15 years!! never accurate, broke down often. Best sensor was the one on Astoria bridge but it seems to be down now too. Hopefully they fix it soon it was great!! Airport is decent if you add 5mph to it for east winds. If maritime sensor or tongue point are in 10mph or more you have a very good shot to score some pond action!!!! Always windier at ponds than at those two sensors.

FYI, looks like Rooster is still going but the wind appears to be slowing down.

Sauvies was pretty good last night. Got in a good hour and didn't even have to bust out the surfboard for the extra float.

I don't know much about forecasting Rooster, but my guess is that it'll be good at least thru the morning...
