Mon Aug 22, 11 2:29 pm BOTG Tribute to THEO |
|
|
On sunday, all participants at the Bridge of the Gods event, took a moment and paid a tribute in honor of Theo.
rocks were gathered and words of strength were written on them before they were tossed into the cove.
Theo, stay strong, you have many friends and supporters, some like me that haven't met you, but not a day goes by that I don't think about you and what you have gone through.
Just know that we all support you and hope to see you back in the gorge again.
Next summer, come back and we'll retreive a couple of those rocks that were thrown.

Thank You for documenting the ceremony Stringy!
(I think you were busy shooting and didn't get to hear the instructions)
For clarification the ceremony works like this:
Each participant writes on two rocks.
Rock #1 has negative things and emotions written on it and thrown into the river
Rock#2 has inspiring words and is kept with you FOREVER.
The concept is to remove negativity from your soul, life and heart.
This was the second time in my life I participated in a rock ceremony. This will be a tradition for me. Please take a moment and have ceremony of your own for Theo if you didn't get a chance to do so at BOTG. It is mind cleansing and healthy.

Nice gesture, guys.
Wish I could have been there, but the wind was calling.
