just wondering if anyone on the west coast has had the chance to demo some of the delta shaped kites. curious to know if the slight differences if kite shape translate to notiecable flying differences. would the rally 12 have more low end say than the boss 12 due to the "open" design. thanks |

I have flown alot of the F-one Bandit 3 and Bandit 4 kites plus the Airush Delta Hydrid Lithium. The Delta kites do have a lot of low end grunt and range. The power is there when you need it. Turning speed is fast!!! They jump great, kiteloop like mad. F-one started the Delta and they got it down solid. Same for Airush. I unfortanutly have only flown the Ralley once so not alot I can say about it yet other than it was abit less power compared to my Bandit 4 but still was super fun to fly, had a good time.
Delta kites are my favorite because of there low end and wind range. Plus the turning speed for tricks and surf is a huge plus. After flying a Delta I got rid of all my crossbows, but kept my switchblades, there still fun. _________________ *AIR PIRATES KITEBOARDING*

Dont' forget it all comes down to surface area. I know when I've compared similarly sized Bandits and Rallys there is a lot more sail there on the Bandit (its bigger). So, on one hand you can say, "that bandit has a great low end!" or "that rally has a huge high end!" ...but it might just come down to, this one's bigger, that ones smaller.
In my case, going from REV2s to Rallys I found they have slightly more low end, but remember, the REVs were odd sizes and the Rally's are even sizes. So it was tough to do a size for size comparison. I do think the 14M Rally, though, has the same low end or better than my 15M REV2 did...BUT, the Rally also has longer lines. So even there...who's to say? Maybe they were the same.
Hands down the jumping and turning speed are much better though. Larger sizes are more fun and the smaller sizes are blazing fast.
OT - kochease, love your logo! Do you guys have stickers? Looked on the website but didn't see any listed. |

Hey toddjb thanks for the compliment
I had a guy do stickers for me then he went out of business along with all my templates and files he created for the sticker production. Started working with a new guy but turns out he is a douche of a flake so I haven't had any luck finding anyone new locally yet. got alot of people wanting them and I'm taking a tally of who wants some. PM me your address and I'll send some decals to you as soon as I get it all up and running again. _________________ *AIR PIRATES KITEBOARDING*

actually looking to replace my rev 13m. i seem to be between the 12m size or the 14m size. at 185lbs i think the 12 would be sufficient with a larger size as my light wind kite. thanks for the feedback since i'm not near any shops and can't demo. |
