Looks like I'm gonna roll down for the event....stoked to check out SPI and the event! I sure could use some warm flat water and steady wind to get rid of the off season rust  |

Carol and I will be here for it. Had a great time last year! Definitely a great way to kick off the season although it's pretty hard to go from board shorts here to full suits in the gorge the week after!
If anyone has questions on where to stay or needs to check something out pm me and I'll see what I can do to help.
Last year we rode 8, 10, 12 and 14m kites during the week of the event. Waves and flat water plus lots of sun.
We also have an extra surfboard or two and Speene boards for light wind to play with if you can't bring your own. I even have an extra 14m Nemi somone can use if the wind is on the light side.

update: YankMeister Winch Company signed on!!
SPI KITE ROUND-UP is stoked to team up with our friends at Yankmeister Winch Co to run a wakeskate / whatever you want to ride, winch park EVERY DAY OF THE EVENT. YankMeister will be coming down fresh from pulling pro riders at THE GRIND in downtown Austin, and will definitely be bringing some toys!

done deal . Booked a flight rented a car and a room is booked .Staying at the Windwater hotel beside Airpadre .
I'm looking forward to riding in the warm waters of the gulf and eating seafood on Padre Island again (it's been four years )
Hopefully I'll run into some of you there .
I've registered and ticked off all the events other than the SUP ( whats that about anyway ) Do some clinics to get some stylin moves happening .
I don't imagine I can compete with the younger crowd but I'll give it my fun side best!
It's going to be awesome as the last time I was there I was a beginner and kinda lost , but now ...... maybe I do have a chance !
I'm gonna get a canuck flag for my rental so if you see an old frostback come over and say hi and have a beverage .
