If you don't already have one on your bar the Sampo #8 500 pound fishing swivel is what I put on my bars. They are available for 5-7$ each on E-bay or Amazon. They come in silver and black. Make sure you get the ones that specify extra thick rings. Of course they will work for some bars but not others. If you use these on your center lines and connect your leash somewhere below the bar your center lines wont twist up.

I think if you add it where the lines connect it will. You will have to add pigtails to your steering lines so they are the same length as this will lengthen your lines by 2 1/4 inches. I put mine on 07 slingy bars so all I needed to do was decrease the throw. The actual length is 2 1/4 inches and the ring's opening is 5/8 inch inside diameter. Check Ronstans website too as they have many rated products pulleys, swivels, ect.

Hope this is helpful. This is a bar that I had sitting out. This one has the mickey mouse ears on the swivel (like came with the old fuel bars). I ran the stock leader ring through the swivel in case I wanted an extra leash attachment point. It pulls through until it hits a stopper bar on one line. I think someone could just as easily connect the swivel to the ends of the center leaders, then connect the center lines to the swivel.

just keep an eye on the swivel. i had one come apart on me while riding, causing a long swim in. pretty sure sand got in there and slowly wore away some of the material.

...isn't this like the swivels on all the kite bars? They'll work for about two weeks, and then no more? There simply is not enough 'wide' pull on the lines....

Exactly
It seems like the future of swivels is that of being located just above the chicken loop, where the rider can twist it with his hand.
