not really as you are unlikely to see anything negative written about any of the tested kites... |

LMAO. No truer words were ever spoken.
Example: air rush review...
Initially, the most noticeable new feature is the Vapor’s solid feel and great stability.
For parking the kite and nailing unhooked tricks, there are no worries of input sensitivity issues that often cause oversheeting and stalling. More glide and bigger air was also noted by testers. It ranked in the top three for big air and lofty glide jumps. The five-line configuration also provides direct steering with moderate bar pressure and increased feedback from last year’s model.
Reality check
The bar pressure is slightly more than some are accustomed, but it’s more than
made up for with fast, direct turning and excellent usable wind range.
So essentially they are saying that on the plus side, the kite is super stable, doesn't drift off when pulling wake style unhooked moves, and has moderate bar pressure. But on the downside, the kite has allot of bar pressure but that is what you have to deal with for a kite that is fast turning.
To be fair though, they magazine has done a good job in actually riding the kites and adding some review about how they really fly and perform. This is much better than some magazines that issue there big annual gear review and simply regurgitate all the dealer advertisement copy. kite reviewers have a difficult job.

the review was a long time ago. I don't think the RPM was out yet. If it was submitted it will fall in the next issue with all the other kites that were not in this one, but were tested. _________________ "I don't believe in doing work that I don't want to do in order to live a life that I don't want to live."

Are the kites even actually tested by the magazines? I've always assumed they (all mags) just get the ad copy from the manufacturers and publish it as-is.
If you look at the average ratings, all the kites are above average... _________________ Lets FLY |
