matt that is sick! love the video.
I think even Alex Peterson would be proud of those hangtimes!
As for the terrain, was this footage recent?
Is this where the Snodaze event will take place?
And does it get much more snow around there? I saw some pretty bare spots I wouldn't want to land on...

Thanks everyone!
Stringy-Thanks for the added boost of inspiration with your ventana vid. I got the baja bug now.
This is from Mt.A, which is not the Event/venue site for snowdaze. This area is about a 2 mile hike on the XC road from the ski resort parking lot. As you can see from the footage. We desparately need more snow .
We did go to the "great Meadow" today and there is about a 15-20inch base. We're expecting more storms thruout the next few days so hopefully some coverage will come with it.
Here's a few pics from the same day (last tuesday)

Just in from SBC Kiteboard 2009 gear tests:
Here are the direct links for the Eclipse kites. The SBC test team was very impressed.
http://www.sbckiteboard.com/2009_kite_r ... uniqid=502
http://www.sbckiteboard.com/2009_kite_r ... niqid=1338
Some quotes from the results:
The Thruster:
Bottom line
The Thruster gets top marks for quick, direct steering, fast cruising speed and easy-to-access performance. This is a premium design that any intermediate or advanced rider can have fun with. It easily matches any big-boosting, big-hangtime kites on the market and has the versatility to perform in every discipline.
The Nano:
On-water performance
The Nano is a quick, pivotal-turning kite that has a ton of grunt and easy get-up-and-go. It is clear why beginners love it: it gets you up quickly but doesn’t run away in the speed department. Steering on the Nano is direct and bar pressure gives the positional feedback beginners need and wave or wakestyle riders prefer. This is a fun kite to ride in the waves, with great stability and solid drift action.
While it doesn’t have the biggest pop or huge glide of the Thruster, the Nano lends confidence to any rider looking to push into the next level. It flies well unhooked and doesn’t pull too hard off the back lines like some beginner SLE’s out there. Depower is adequate and comes on despite the shorter throw line set up with this kite. Water relaunch is quick and easy, always an essential element on any kite positioned to the beginner or waverider.
So just some unbiased reviews from SBC's testing team. Now go try for your self!
