Has anyone checked out Surveyer's ridge recently for mountain biking? Does the snow reach that low level? It would be nice to get some mountain biking in before the snow season starts. Its too far of a drive for me to stop by and just check it out - but if there isn't any snow and its relatively dry - would love to hit it.

I'd guess that the stuff near Surveyor's is still snow-free. Try calling Mountain View or one of the other cycle shops in Hood River. They should be able to give you a recent trail report.

I'm sure its still free of snow. The snow stays around for a long time though. We hit it once in may and there was still snow in sections.

fun trail.

Trails are likely packed nicely these days, and the snow won't be that low (I hear levels are supposed to rise again). Craig at Mt. View might know; their number is 541-386-BIKE (hard to remember, I know).

I like that ride. I even did the downhill at the end once with some Canadian crazo. But I walked it. I'm more into riding my Specialized to the store these days. Great mileage. Hope Obama's infrastructure plan includes more bike paths. Especially to and from the schools. We got to get the kids off the couch. We simply can't afford to continue to medicate them all like we do the fat and lazy that are dragging us all into the medicare abyss. It's OK to be poor but if your fat and poor then is that really poor? Maybe we should be subsidizing exercise bikes instead of digital TV converters.

Reading is stupid.

Everything you need to know has already been posted on youtube. If it hasn't , then you can glean it from watching South Park.

You need to fasten a keyboard to the handle bars.
Oh no, Bambi's mother is turning in her grave.

Seriously man, the pollution you post on the forums
is just out of hand.

But I still love you and would be happy to help with
any of your projects. No way I'm giving you any
money though.

I do wonder how many former frequent posters
you've offended away.

I guess it's all good if you are having fun with it.

Carry on.

we road surveyer's 2 weeks ago- no snow then, but tons of blow down- a lot of hike a bike- at lease 50+ trees down- we were exhausted by the end- more of a cycle cross than a ride- we road fall's creek last weekend- a little snow, but fun, didn't hinder anything and the trail is in primo condition- it was frozen so it was real sticky- not sure what this latest round of weather did- enjoy
