				| So I am editing this post as it may have been distracting to the cause we were trying to get to. We are still very close to $100,000 and Tonia has posted an online auction to help get us over the top. Please go to the second page of this thread and check out the links to the auction. _________________

I started a new job - still trying to get my finances settled. I'll commit to an amount as soon as I can.

				| garret, I admire your determination to get it over the top.
You, Gregg and Tonia have done a really cool thing with KB4C.

 Respect!

I could care less on the tattoo, but I really want to see you make the mark, so I'm in for 100 clams.
I'll see if I can motivate anyone else up here in the seattle area.
I assume it doesn't matter what KB4C account the money goes into, but if it does, just let me know.

 good luck with it.

				| wife and I put in a couple days back, but please keep that cheek to yourself G!
I'm guessing that being a 100K organization in your second year puts you on the radar for future sponsors?? ...and of course makes next years marketing much easier. So let's see it happen and way to go otherwise!!!

				| It doesn't matter which account it goes into-- as long as the number gets to $75K total on the KB4C page we will be there-- which by the way means that we made $25,000 the day of the event. What a great showing. And yes, next year we will definately be getting some corporate sponsors _________________

				| Super stellar dedication Garret! Just something to consider, but from everything I have heard you get one tattoo and it opens the door to an unsatiatable desire for more. Likely you will have full sleeves by Christmas. Hopefully that will not hinder your professional advancement... but really, shouldn't you get a tramp stamp instead? If you get it on your butt only a select few and the rooster rock crowd will see it.
Thanks again to you and Tonia and everyone else who made this event possible. I incredibly appreciate the opportunity to give back and do just a little to help end something that causes so much suffering and so many loved ones to be lost.

You can put me in for another $100 and am I working on getting matching funds from work for what I have already donated. Keep us posted on the progress!

				| $100,000 is an awesome collection of funds and resources. A friend has asked us to donate to this cause. We are impressed with the individual fundraisers. Nice job.
We asked a few questions, that Jane did not have answers to. Please reply so we can make an informed choice of sponsorship.

Who decides were the monies will be donated? Is there a panel of KB4C executors who vote on where and the amount to be contributed, to wherever it goes? The interest on $100,000 must be pretty tight. Isn't that addition enough to already have pushed the total past the $100,000 mark? Is interest added to the charity account, grants to be awarded? Is there a web site that lists the charities given a gift and how much? One more question, is all the money donated or is there a portion set aside for, "Administration" fees and salaries. If there is, how much of the total is taken?

 Thanks

				| Those are good questions- KB4C is governed by the three board of directors, Tonia, Gregg and I. Prior to the event we decide which proceeds are going to go to which charities. Since we do not know how much we are going to raise, we donate based on areas of the event. For instance all of the online proceeds are going to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, proceeds from the silent auction go to the Celilo House etc. The other charities that are getting donations are the Children's Healing Art Program, Oregon Active and the Seattle Children's Hospital. We do keep some funds to help pay for the cost of the event, but none of us receives a salary. Disbursements are made relatively quickly after the event so we do not invest the proceeds and therefore the interest is a minimal amount. If you go to our web page KB4C.org you can find the charities there-- thanks for your interest. _________________

				| Will you be so kind as to place a percentage or an amount how much you retain from chairty contributions for fundraising events?
Is there a reason why donations are not being made locally to either or both, Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital for Cancer or Doernbecher Children's Hospital at OHSU?

 Thanks for clarifying.

				| This year our expenses are going to be in the single digits somewhere around 5% due to a grant we received to cover event expenses. As far a keeping donations local both the Children's Healing Art Project and the Celilo Cancer Center are local. CHAP is based at both Doernbecher and Emanual and Celilo is based in The Dalles Oregon. Additionally, proceeds from the food sales went to Oregon Active so they can continue to take young Oregon cancer survivors on outdoor adventures. _________________
