I think you should post your parents phone numbers and we will call and try to help you out.

tell your parents that an official life jacket is dangerous because of the the extra clips and straps for your lines to get hung up on. An impact vest is a good idea, I have the dakine impact harness (combination vest and harness), works well.

The Gooru by O'Neil is the softest and most comforatable one out and best of all it does not effect your mobility like most of them do AND has no straps or buckles to get caught on.

You can get it, in down town Hood River, at Windance and Big Winds but I don't think Second Wind has them.

This one is low profile, works well with a harness and has good float

I wear a Dakine Nitrous boardshort harness. You can wear any lifevest you want with it.

Just tell them that your harness doubles as a flotation device. Easy fix.

The Liquid Force Impact Vests are not Coast Gaurd approved, but have lots of flotation and are pretty low profile. I have one with no clips, just a side zipper, that I like a lot...

I wear a promotion vest. It has flotation around the chest and upper back - nothing around the middle - so it looks like you just hit the gym. It works well for me. Just go to www.wetsuit.com and check out their life vests.

tight nylon shirt over it to keep your lines from tangling.

PFD vrs. Impact vest

PFD is rated to float you up and flip you when your out.

an impact vest is not a pfd.

Sorry man..most PFD's will not flip you head up if your unconscious
Most wear Type III which will just give you float
