They tried to put a cable park in the Nichols boat basin years ago. But too much opposition because the boat basin is a pristine naturally formed bird refuge that's been there for thousands of years.

Good new though! All that construction you see in The Hook is for the new Hook Cable Park! There were no local environmental concerns this time around since it's right next to the sewage treatment plant.

Absolutely.

There was also a plover-sparrow-gimp-plow birdfish that fed on the heavy metals left from years as an industrial site.

Wait, I thought it was supposed to be a native salmon breeding site that salmon had used for thousands of years...

The cable park really brought out the NIMBYs. No problem when the plan was for more marina slips, but a cable park? Inconceivable!
