...I'm burning it, and posting photos here.

What kind of kook rides a twintip in the ocean anyway?

The same kind of kook that puts Monster Energy stickers on their board.

Man, what a positive and supporting community. So glad to see that kiters aren't sad and pathetic trolls. Good job.

Did you miss this sign driving into town? There is one on 84 to the Gorge just so you don't miss that one too.

I supported you by sending a screengrab of your original post to the City of Manzanita's LEOs. They will call you when they find your board.

Got $1250 to pony up for it?

Did you Sharpie your name & # on your board?

Hopefully so as that this the best way get lost gear back.

Try calling the Manzo City Hall.

In the future, please post lost gear requests in the lost and found section above. This section is for kiting news and whatnot... please move your post to that section.

Thanks!

Good to see the NW Kite attitude ramping up again. It’s been too quiet, for too long.

Hold your horses there. There is all kinds of room for criticism with this guy. He goes to a posted closed resort town to kite. Loses his twin tip in the ocean then has the gall to post up that he did this.
Locals can't even kite in Hood River without public shaming and possibly a visit from the Sheriff's boat.
If you are going to kite right now then you better be good enough to take care of yourself. A rescued kiter anywhere will not look good for the kiting community.

My guess is "this guy" (or gal) is actually following proper distancing etiquette... Which is likely leading to a need to fulfill a void... Which likely led to this post.

Just sayin... Cause I am checking NWKITE way more than when I was actually kiting...

Need to fill the void somehow!!!

Just to clear my sullied message handle...

The reason I was riding a twin tip in the surf was to test the jumping capabilities of a kite that I was demoing. I've been kiting since before it was cool and was asked to provide feedback on the kites' performance, so when you fools go to spend your hard earned money on brand new gear, you are actually given a good recommendation on what to buy... In the nearly two decades I've been kiting, I've never needed help getting myself off the water. Also, I didn't lose my board in the surf, I just left it on the beach when I packed up because I did have my surfboard as well and needed to make two trips.

As for the signs - No, I didn't notice them until I was on my way home. Did they put them up during the day friday? This might have been selective eyesight. Regardless, I maintained a healthy distance from everyone, and went strait from my car to the beach and back. I didn't go to any restaurants or use the bathrooms. I would be very surprised if I put anyone in danger.

I AM HAPPY TO REPORT THAT MY BOARD HAS BEEN FOUND!

Shout out to Tom for holding onto it until I can safely retrieve it. Faith in kiter humanity restored. Will make sure to post about my kook-ery in the appropriate place from now on. #monsterenergy

I am glad you got your board back even though this was entertaining while it lasted.

Your rep is damaged beyond repair. I would just start over with another i.d.

The last I checked kite testing wasn't deemed an essential service. Did I miss a memo?

Thanks to everyone who resisted the urge to kite this weekend with the understanding that by doing so you helped flatten the curve!👍

We need more victims. Normally these mass beatings come with weeks of skunk, but this is a whole new breed of skunkage.
