The quad bar and click bar have a V distributor on the middle lines.

You move it up or down depending on 4 line or 5 line and line length.

Has anyone removed the V distributor all together ?

The V in the center lines would then be right above the spindle.

North says it's ok but the kite will handle differently.

Once in a while a kite will invert and the lines become crossed.
If the V is low enough - the rider can pass the bar thru the V and possibly uncross the lines.
With the V 15 feet away - that's not possible.

My kite inverted last week and I had to return to the launch to fix it.

With the Slingshot bar you can sometimes do it on the water or land in the shallows at Wells Island and do the abracadabra presto magic bar pass thru.

That's a good one!
I've mastered landing the North kite with the high V but a low V is much easier.

If you remove the Y, you will see a small delay in steering.

Your kite has inverted between your centerlines?

It fell out of the sky, rolled around on the water and flipped itself inside out and back again.
When it was done rag-dolling, the lines were crossed.
