I am heading out to snowkite Idaho and Montana in a couple weeks, anyone been out there recently? I am wondering if it's worth the trip giving the cruddy season we are having. Sure glad Bend built this super fun wave! Thanks for any input....

I'm also heading out next Wednesday on a ski and kite trip.
My options are BC, Montana, or Utah. Montana conditions look to be the best.... and more snow predicted the next few days.
The past few weeks - it looks like the further north you go - the more snow.
BC got over 40 inches in the past week.
If you do Facebook - the Montana Kiters have great page with info.

The Snowkite Rodeo is in 2 weeks.

Wind Slither- where are the camas, looks like a nice spot but ouch, bare to the bones? Edit- looked up Pine turnoff

Idhr- Yeah we are planning on being in that area for the rodeo, guess it is around big hole. I wonder if we should just pass up on Idaho in general. Buddy is coming in from Hawaii and he is putting it all together. Thanks you guys

The Rodeo promises to be as good or better than any for snow conditions. Montana seems to have the jet stream bullseye this year. The Bighorns are prime. Bondurant & Togwotee Pass in WY are really good. If you can bring a bile even more options. Room for everyone in Montana - come on out.

Yes this is the correct camera. The problem is the camera is mid pass and points east and shows kinda the bottom of the hill from where we kite. There is a night and day difference if the cam was pointed the other direction.

There should be plenty of snow for the rodeo. Up north of here i was at haggin a few days ago and it was a foot of fresh pow although warm conditions its still very much winter.

Keep an eye on temps that will be the key. there is an atmospheric section that shows temp and wind speeds.

The correct link is

Good to hear about some of you headed up there, it looks like we should just skip Idaho and head to Montana, Wyoming. Stoked to get out on my board, been awhile since I snowkited.

anyone have updates on latest conditions? We're thinking of checking out Camas Valley on our way from Seattle to Utah on 2nd March.

Not worth stopping for unless you really need to get out and stretch your legs. - keep on going.

A dump is on target again for the bighole.

Last weekend on SUNDAY we had epic powder at the rodeo. If you left early you missed out. Very Happy

Haggin should be good as well. Montana has had a great mid and near end season run with remaining cold temperatures for the foreseeable future. More pow coming!

Raynolds/IP looks like some really big dumps coming in this weekend.
